Through an effective coordination and fruitful partnership under the theme “With Education We Build the Future”, MAAKUM inaugurates the project of rehabilitating, equipping and furnishing the 22-of-May Hall in Taiz University, embodying the real partnership among the public, private & civil society sectors and the unified efforts of Taiz University leadership, Al-Kuraimi Foundation and MAAKUM Foundation seeking to improve education.
The targeted hall, which used to be a hall for scientific and research events as well as holding international scientific conferences, has been out of order for years due to the war. Thus, rehabilitating it will contribute to enhancing the university’s ability to host scientific and cultural events and conferences, publicise knowledge, exchange expertise and enhance sustainable development.
The project includes equipping the hall, providing it with modern seats, renovating the ceiling and walls, renewing the lighting system, implementing the internal design works, and providing it with a screen and a sound system in order to create an appropriate environment that can meat the needs of any scientific or research events.
This project is part of a chain of several sustainable educational and Developmental projects, adopted and funded by Al-Kuraimi Foundation for Development, as an active contribution by the private sector so as to enhance recovery and bring about sustainable development in partnership with Ma’akum Developmental Foundation MAAKUM and the relevant governmental authorities.
