Based on the partnership agreement signed by both Taiz University and Ma’akum Developmental Foundation MAAKUM years ago and the agreement of implementing the project, “Improving the Educational Infrastructure in Taiz University”, to strengthen the active partnership between the civil society and the governmental institutions aiming to enhance the institutional flexibility, resilience, stability and sustainable recovery, and to embody the slogan, “With Education.. We Build the Future”, the project was inaugurated today and the Computer Lab in the Networks & Cyber Security Department, the Faculty of Engineering in Taiz University was opened in the presence of the Vise President of Taiz University, Dr. Ryadh Al-Oqab, the Deen of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ameen Saif, and the Chairman of MAAKUM Foundation, Dr. Abdulhameed Saif.
The project included equipping the Computer Lab of the Cyber Security Department in the Faculty of Engineering with (30) desktop computers, which go in line with the the specialization’s needs, and a 75-inch screen, in addition to renovating, maintaining and furnishing the lab in a way that provides a convenient and motivating educational environment..
During the inauguration, the Vise President of the University, Dr. Ryadh Al-Oqab, expressed his thankfulness and gratitude for Al-Kuraimi Developmental Foundation for funding this qualitative educational project which will benefit the generations to come in Taiz.
This project is funded by Al-Kuraimi Developmental Foundation and implemented by Ma’akum Developmental Foundation MAAKUM to strengthen the partnership between the private & civil sector and the governmental & official institutions, in coordination with the Education Cluster in Taiz and West Coast Hub.
