In coordination with Health Cluster, and in response to the distress call made by the dialysis center at the AlJomhory Hospital days ago, Ma’akum Developmental Foundation MDF has implemented the “Supply and install filters at the Dialysis Station at the AlJomhory Hospital” Project.
The intervention of MDF aims to save the lives of 150 renal failure patients who are periodically washed up in the Centre after the station was threatened with a halt, exposing the lives of these patients to death.
The project to supply and install dialysis filters has brought life back to patients with kidney failure and ensured the continued operation of the plant. Besides, it reinforces MDF’s humanitarian intervention in the health sector for the most vulnerable people.
The importance of changing the plant’s filtrate lies in ensuring its ability to purify water used in dialysis, which must be by special specifications free of any impurities such as excess metals, bacteria, internal toxins, sediment, mud, or chemicals.
The Director of the dialysis Centre, Dr. Essam Mehyoub Dahan, expressed his gratitude for the immediate response and urgent intervention of MDF, which contributed to the continued operation of the station.
It is worth mentioning that MDF from the beginning of the war has been providing the filters of the dialysis station at AlJomjory Hospital.
