Ma’akum Developmental Foundation, MDF headed by Dr. AbdulHameed AlYusofi has launched the inauguration of the initial phase of Madhbah strained slope road which was carried out within the framework of the intervention of the Foundation within the sector of the” (AlMadhbah, Barh AlMignan, and Almijnan) strained slope road. Al-Yousfi said that this sector is approximately 7 km long and costs 50 million Yemeni rials as a first payment.
The next phase will be completed in order to reach the area of Al-Jamark in accordance with the approved initial course. The initial and operational phases will continue, as well, after the completion of the detailed executive study, through the Messiaouid ramp, to Khabat Al-Mughrah, and then to announce, through the Foundation’s intervention in this sector, linking of Al-Sham villages in AlMaqaterah District with AlMigiza’a villages in AlMadharebah District in Lahj Governorate as well.
The launch ceremony was attended by the General Coordinator of the Road Project, as well as the Superintendent General, the Chairman of the Community Committee, the members of the Committee, the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, and the members of the Project Oversight Committee.
It is worth mentioning that the new road is about 182 km long from the point of the Al – Saqqar round in the city of Taiz through Lahij Governorate to Aden Governorate.
Sheikh Abdullah Mohammadi, the General Coordinator and Finance Officer of the project, has confirmed that the Milliwy Road (Taiz, Lahj, and Aden) is one of the most important development projects that will have an impact on the social, economic, health, and educational development of the three governorates.
Engineer Wael Ma’amari, the spokesperson for the road project, stated that the areas adjacent to the road are among the most disadvantaged and have suffered for decades from any public health, education, and other services, with no schools, no health centers, no clean water wells, and no real human development.
Mr. Mahfouz al-Bakari, Chairman of the Oversight Committee, appealed to all organizations to intervene in the implementation of this project, as it is a humanitarian intervention that will have an impact at all levels, calling on all to unite towards this goal.
Dr. AbdulHameed AlYousfi thanked the philanthropist who donated through the Foundation to the achievement of this important road.
